1947

Edwin Picard started his training as a bag
maker in the company André Kralle in
Obertshausen, at that time one of the top
manufacturers of quality leather bags in
Germany. After completing his training Edwin
Picard also attended courses in Design and
Bag Cutting at the school for master
craftspeople in Offenbach.

1954

Using the skills he had learned, Edwin
Picard started to produce bags, together
with his wife Anna Katharina, for a variety of
leather goods factories

1961

Due to a shortage of labour, the production
centre in the Offenbach was relocated
to Altenbuch in the Spessart. Edwin and
Anna Picard started production in Altenbuch
with 8 employees.
